White House Correspondents Dinner. Born again “birther” Donald Trump gets a thumping by the President. My personal favorite zinger: Michele Bachmann is here. She is considering running for president. Which is weird, because I hear she was born in Canada. Yes, Michele, this is how it starts.

While watching the video, I noticed President Obama didn’t laugh at his own jokes as much as he did the year before. He was much more reserved, cool. Maybe it’s the “austerity” of the times. Maybe The Donald is right. The jokes were “inappropriate.” (Is he kidding???). Or maybe it was because of this…

Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who’s responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children.

Osama Bin Laden body was buried within 24 hours “in accordance with Muslim tradition.” U.S. forces took custody of the body and gave Bin Laden a burial at sea to prevent the making of a grave site shrine by his followers.

State Department officials issued warnings and alerts to embassy officials and U.S. citizens traveling abroad in anticipation of retaliation by Bin Laden’s followers and admirers; or fallout from President Obama’s announcement pre-empting “The Apprentice” on NBC.
