At some point every organization and business has to bring in the change manager, people who observe the goings ons, meet with the staff, point out the duplicity and waste, and finally makes recommendations for cuts. And yes, lay-offs are part of that process. In his weekly message, President Obama announces his appointments for change managers, Jeffrey D. Zients who will be Chief Performance Officer (new position) as well as Deputy Director of Office Management and Budget; and Aneesh Paul Chopra, Chief Technology Officer to streamline and secure the communiciations technology. So brace yourselves. The President says “If we want to spend, we have to find somewhere to cut.”
